Application Eligibility

  • This scholarship is open to TCU students only.
  • International students may apply, but the official language of their country must not
    include English. Please refer to THIS LIST
  • You must be a current student of the school in order to apply for the award.

Points on English Learning

Utilize the English learning resources approved by Foreign Language Education Center to gain the Points on English Learning.
Once certain number of points are accumulated, you can claim prizes or apply for money award.

Awarding Criteria & How to Claim

1. Milestone Rewards (Starting from the 115th academic year, milestone rewards will be discontinued; a cash reward can be applied for after accumulating 10 points).

You may claim the award when you reach the target number of points,
and the points will not be deducted.
However, you may only claim them once per academic year!
Criteria Award
Collected 3 points 7-Eleven Gift Cards (200NTD)
Collected 6 points 7-Eleven Gift Cards (500NTD)

2. Full Points Award

You may repeat the application each time you have collected 10 points.
Or accumulate 20, 30 or 40 points before applying.
However, the maximum amount of award is 4,000NTD for each person in one academic year.

If you meet the criteria, please fill out the online application form.
After completing, bring your student ID card to the FLEC office for verification.

How to Get the Points?

  • Register and fully participate in an English-related lecture held by Foreign Language Education Center, and complete the survey form. 1 Point each Time.
  • Fully participate in an English speaking activity held by Foreign Language Education Center and complete the survey form. 2 Points each Time.
  • Participate in the formal examination of the English Proficiency Test5 points each timeThe
  • Fully participate in an English competition held by Foreign Language Education Center.5 points each time. (115 academic year points to be discussed)

  • Points on English Learning are conducted through an online system, and there is no need for "applying" a points card. To access the points card system, you must complete the initial registration with your basic information and finish the online points accumulation during your first points collection of each academic year.
  • After participating in activities that can collect points,Please complete the activity questionnaire first and click on the point collection form link that will appear at the end.After filling in the information, you will get points.
  • You can view your online points card HERE. Since the system is built using Google-related platforms, please ensure that you are logged into your TCU gms account and agree to the authorization request when using it for the first time, to ensure the online points card functions properly.   • Point Collecting Regulation:
    • If you fail to collect points after activity ends, you may submit an application for redeeming points before 17:00 on the next workday after the activity you attended ends. (In case of weekends or holidays, it can be postponed to the next workday)
    • If you do not complete the questionnaire and simply fill out the points collection form, your points will be canceled upon verification. This does not apply to special events where no questionnaire is required.
    • If you redeem points by yourself, the points will be canceled upon verification.
    • If you repeat to fill in the form to collect points in one activity, the points will be canceled upon verification.
    • If you use other person's gms account to fill the point collection form, the points will be canceled upon verification.
    • If you register for multiple English activities at the same time and collect points repeatedly, all points earned during that period will be cancelled upon verification.
    • Students who have already received work-study funding for the same event will not be eligible to claim points for self-study English learning for that event. Any points earned through filling out forms will be canceled if verified.
  • For those collecting points with a study log after using Easytest platform or with exam participation, the point recognition will be handled differently. Please check on your TCU gms inbox closely for updates.
  • The collection of Points on English Learning is carried out on a school year basis.At the end of the second semester of each school year, the points will be reset to zero.The accumulation of points and awards claiming are only valid during the school year in which the activity is carried out.

  • Milestone awards can only be claimed before 12:00 noon on the last working day of each academic year.
  • Each Milestone Award can only be claimed once per academic year, and your points WILL NOT be deducted after claiming the award.
  • The application deadline for the full-point incentive is "July 5 of the second semester of each academic year" by 17:30
  • Points will be deducted from the total number of points.
  • After completing the application form, please bring your student ID card with the current semester's registration stamp to the Foreign Language Education Center's office for verification.
  • The Full Points Award of Points on English Learning are disbursed through money transfer, and cannot be disbursed with cash. The transfer process will take a while, please be patient.
  • The award will be disbursed in the order of applications received. If the funds are exhausted, a separate announcement will be made to stop accepting applications.
