English Proficiency Exam Incentives for Five-year Degree Students

Application Eligibility

  • This award is only open to the Five-year Associate Degree Program students in our university.
  • International students may apply, but the official language of their country must not
    include English. Please refer to THIS LIST
  • You must be a current student of TCU when applying for the award or obtaining an English proficiency test score.

English Proficiency Exam Incentives for Five-year Degree Students

Eligibility & Application

Those who take the official English certification exam and achieve a CEFR level on their scores are eligible to apply for this incentive.

If you meet the requirements, please prepare the original certificate or score report of the proficiency test and complete the online application.
After completing, please bring (1) the original certificate or score report and (2) your student ID card with the current semester's registration stamp to the Foreign Language Education Center's office for verification.

Award Criteria

  • CEFR A1 or above can subsidize the enrollment fee (up to $4,000).
  • Additional $1,000 for those who have achieved CEFR A2
  • Additional $2,000 for CEFR B1 attainment
  • Additional $3,000 for CEFR B2 attainment
  • Additional $4,000 for CEFR C1 attainment
  • Additional $5,000 for those who achieve CEFR C2

Notes

  • Please fill out the application form within 4 months after the score report is issued.
  • This subsidy cannot be duplicated with the school's "Foreign Language Proficiency Test Subsidy and Incentive Program", and no progress awards will be granted.
  • The deadline for application for the award is "June 5 of the second semester of each academic year" by 17:30
  • You can apply separately for the Listening & Reading sections and the Speaking & Writing sections of the TOEIC test
  • After completing the application form, please bring (1) the original certificate or score report and (2) your student ID card with the current semester's registration stamp to the Foreign Language Education Center's office for verification.
  • Incentive payments are made by remittance and cannot be claimed.Please be patient as it takes time for the remittance to be processed.
  • The reward will be disbursed in the order of applications received. If the funds are exhausted, a separate announcement will be made to stop accepting applications
