When guiding students to prepare for English proficiency tests or conducting basic English teaching, do you often encounter the following challenges?

In fact, the "Cool English" platform, which is strongly promoted by the Ministry of Education, is a completely free digital platform that supports various English proficiency tests and basic learning. To enable teachers to easily utilize this national-level resource, we have specially invited Ms. Lin Mei-ru, a teacher from the Applied English Department of National Hualien Senior Commercial Vocational School (a seed teacher of the Ministry of Education's Technical Senior High School English Promotion Center), to share her insights.
In this workshop, instructors will provide hands-on guidance to all teachers on how to practically integrate the four modules of listening, speaking, reading, and writing into your English proficiency test and basic English courses.

🛠️ The four modules of listening, speaking, reading, and writing and their practical application in teaching.
Learning orientation
1. Listening -> Learn English by listening to news and watching movies in one minute -> Helps students grasp international current events and train their listening skills for longer passages. Serves as a warm-up material for the classroom, analyzing practical phrases and pronunciation techniques.
2. Speaking -> Whisper, Speak Fluent, Lingo Live Tutor speech recognition system, and CoolE Bot situational English chatbot -> solve students' pain point of being afraid to speak, providing instant pronunciation correction. Includes situational dialogue sheets to simulate interviews or workplace conversations.
3. Reading -> Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension Tests, Practical Articles -> Accumulate vocabulary and train the ability to extract key points from long passages. Cultivate students' sense of language when reading academic and professional articles.
4. Writing & Vocabulary -> Practical exercises and writing guidance; gamified grammar learning -> Get rid of Chinglish and build authentic sentence structures. Can be used for after-class review and vocabulary quizzes in basic English classes.
