Application Eligibility

  • This scholarship is open to TCU students only.
  • International students may apply, but the official language of their country must not
    include English. Please refer to THIS LIST
  • You must be a current student of the school in order to apply for the award.

Points on English Learning

By using FLEC's approved English activities or learning resources, you can accumulate English self-learning points.
Once you have accumulated a certain number of points, you can apply for rewards!

Awarding Criteria & How to Claim

Full Points Award

You can apply after accumulating 10 points,
Or accumulate 20, 30 or 40 points before applying.
However, the maximum amount of award is 4,000NTD for each person in one academic year.

Collected 10 points 1,000NTD
Collected 20 points 2,000NTD
Collected 30 points 3,000NTD
Collected 40 points 4,000NTD

How to Get the Points?

  • Register and fully participate in an English-related lecture held by Foreign Language Education Center, and complete the survey form. 1 Point each Time.
  • Fully participate in an English speaking activity held by Foreign Language Education Center and complete the survey form. 2 Points each Time.
  • Participate in the BESTEP examination.5 points each time.
  • Complete other English learning activities and earn points based on the activity completed.

  • Points on English Learning are conducted through an online system, and there is no need for "applying" a points card. To access the points card system, you must complete the initial registration with your basic information and finish the online points accumulation during your first points collection of each academic year.
  • After participating in activities that can collect points,Please complete the activity questionnaire first and click on the point collection form link that will appear at the end.After filling in the information, you will get points.
  • You can check your points through the online point card.Since the system was created using Google platforms, please make sure you are signed in with your school GMS account. When using the system for the first time, please select “Allow” to grant the necessary permissions so that the online point card can function properly. If you encounter any problems while using the system, please contact us at sihrong331@gms.tcu.edu.tw.
  • Point Collecting Regulation:
    • To maintain fairness and administrative procedures,no retroactive point credits will be provided this semester.If you do not submit the form before the deadline, you will not receive points for that activity. Please remember to submit the form on time.
    • If you do not complete the questionnaire and simply fill out the points collection form, your points will be canceled upon verification. This does not apply to special events where no questionnaire is required.
    • If you redeem points by yourself, the points will be canceled upon verification.
    • If you repeat to fill in the form to collect points in one activity, the points will be canceled upon verification.
    • If you use other person's gms account to fill the point collection form, the points will be canceled upon verification.
    • If you register for multiple English activities at the same time and collect points repeatedly, all points earned during that period will be cancelled upon verification.
    • Students who have already received work-study funding for the same event will not be eligible to claim points for self-study English learning for that event. Any points earned through filling out forms will be canceled if verified.
  • For studentswho earn points by taking an exam,the points will be credited separately. Please check your school GMS email account regularly for updates.
  • The collection of Points on English Learning is carried out on a school year basis.At the end of the second semester of each school year, the points will be reset to zero.The accumulation of points and awards claiming are only valid during the school year in which the activity is carried out.
  • The application deadline for the full-point incentive is "July 5 of the second semester of each academic year" by 17:30
  • Points will be deducted from the total number of points.
  • After you submit the application form, we will review your application and send you an email with the review results. Please check your email regularly for updates.
  • Full Point Bonus for English Self-Learning PointsAll remittances are issued by remittance and cannot be claimed; please be patient as it takes time for the remittance to be processed.
  • The award will be disbursed in the order of applications received. If the funds are exhausted, a separate announcement will be made to stop accepting applications.
  • The "English proficiency Mock Test" on the Easytest platform refer to all items related to English proficiency tests on our university's exclusive Easytest online learning test platform.

  • For points to be recognized, all items required for an official examination must be completed.
    For example, the total score of the IELTS test is the average of the four scores in listening, speaking, reading and writing. To get Points on English Learning with the "IELTS mock test", students must complete all four sections (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and finish the Study Log.
    Students need to complete four mock tests (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and finish their study notes before they can accumulate points.
  • Each session of the English proficiency mock test or writing training course can only be counted for points once.
