If you have taken any of the basic English courses this semester, you are eligible to apply for the contest! Compete with other students to see who is the real master of reading aloud and compete for the prize!
You can accumulate 5 points by signing up, attending the whole competition and filling out the questionnaire after the competition!

Eligibility:
- Students who are enrolled in any of our Basic English Courses in the current semester.
- Limited to students from home country
Contest Rules:
- A total of five articles will be read aloud at3/1 (v)Published in外語教學中心 Web Page.
- The list of participants and their order of appearance on stage will be announced atOne week before the gamePublished in外語教學中心 Web Page.
- After the moderator has called the roll, the contestant shall go on stage and read out the title of the article and start reading. Participants who do not come to the stage twice after the roll call will be regarded as abstaining from the competition.
- The maximum reading time for each participant is 90 seconds. One bell will be rung for 1 minute and two bells will be rung for 1 minute and 30 seconds, and the participant will be asked to stop reading immediately.
Scoring Criteria:
Fluency 30%
Sounding 30%
Language Tuning 20%
Typhoon 20%
The average of the scores will be used as the score of the contestants after being evaluated by the judges.
Awards:
First place 1,500 dollars for 1 place
Second place 1,000 RMB for 1 person
Third place $500 for 1 person
Honorable Mention $300 for 1 person
If the number of participants reaches 25, the prize will be increased!
